Detailed description of Falling River Country Club

Falling River Country Club first opened for play in 1965. The course was designed by Fred Findlay.

Falling River Golf Club opened initially with nine holes and later added nine holes to complete the course as designed. It quickly became a favorite for golfers of Appomattox and all over central and southwest Virginia. Falling River is a private club with over 350 members.

With gently rolling hills and undulating greens, the course is challenging but fair. Falling River is always in great condition. The bent grass greens are true and moderately quick. The official yardage is 6471 (Blue), 6133 (White/Regular), 5410 (Seniors), and 4689 (Ladies). There are 2 main lakes and 5 small ponds throughout the course. The view of our course is beautiful from many of the tee boxes.

Play is private with guests allowed with members and tournaments.
